It's that time of the year again. We buy the beach pass, load up the cooler, and take out the sunblock. It's time to hit the beaches, fire up the grill, and enjoy the first weekend of the "summer". Although the first official day of Summer isn't until June 21st, Memorial Day weekend is a hint of whats to come.
There are many things to do on Long Island for this Memorial Day, and you don't have to travel far! The local beaches are a great way to spend the day, be sure and buy a season parking pass if you plan on going more than once. Otherwise, you have to pay $20 each time you visit.
TO DO: Saturday and Sunday. The annual Air Show at Jones Beach. 10AM to 3PM.
Description:
Featuring military and civilian performers, the United States Army Golden Knights parachute team and United States Air Force F22 Raptor.
If you are at the Air Show or elsewhere at Jones Beach, you can listen to the radio simulcast on WHLI 1100AM.
