4th of July Events

Stars Over Montauk by Grucci
Bring a blanket or chair to Umbrella Beach in Montauk , on Old Montauk Highway, just west of the town. Look up and you'll be treated to a fireworks display by Grucci from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. Rain date: July 5th.


Jones Beach Fireworks Extravaganza
An annual event, the spectacular fireworks show on the Fourth of July starts at 9:30 p.m., lighting up the sky above the shores of Jones Beach State Park. If you’re thinking of attending, make sure you get there very early. There's always a huge crowd of people who want to see the show. For more information, call (631) 321-3510.



Nautical Cruise Lines
Nautical Cruise Lines offers a great vantage point to view the fireworks at Jones Beach without worrying about parking spaces. The Long Island Jones Beach Fireworks Show Cruise takes place on Saturday, July 4 from 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Cruise in style, sip champagne and sample hors d’oeuvres at cocktail hour. There’s a sit-down dinner, open bar and dancing as well. When the fireworks start, you’ll have a “front row seat” onboard the Nautical Empress, sailing from Freeport’s Nautical Mile. Tickets are $149.99 plus tax per person. You must be 21 years or older to participate in this cruise. ID is required upon boarding.

July Fourth Parade from the Hamptons to Montauk

Old Bethpage
Old Fashioned Independence Day Celebration at Old Bethpage Village RestorationFrom 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.,celebrate the holiday the 19th century way. Enjoy a parade, an all-star baseball game, traditional fiddle music and more.

Bring your own picnic lunch to the Temperance Society Picnic behind the Noon Inn, listen to a brass band, and explore the 150-acre recreated 19th century village. Old Bethpage Village Restoration is on Round Swamp Road off exit 48 on the Long Island Expressway. Call (516) 572-8400 for more information. Admission fees from $5-$7.

While you're there, visit the farm stand in Old Bethpage Village Restoration's parking lot for sustainably grown fruits and vegetables raised on the venue's own certified organic Restoration Farm. The farm stand is open every Saturday through September from noon-2 p.m.
